How Comfort Food Poses as Spiritual Food A post about our tendency to seek food (especially less nutritious food) for comfort instead of God and His Word. Food, treats, or other "rewards" can become an idols especially after a long day with our kids. This article was very convicting to me.

My latest post is on Portion Distortion. Check it out for list of tips to help control portion size and a banana burrito recipe!

No Food Is Not Healthy, Not Even Kale is a very interesting post about how the words we use to describe foods affect how we associate them. The main point was nutritious (not "healthy") food has a positive impact on human health. The author perfectly illustrated why we should read the complete food label (including ingredient list) not just the manufacturer's claims on the front of the food package. Healthy Kids, Happy Families and Journey to a Happy, Healthy Life both address label ready in detail.

Here is a post ranking cereals from 100 Days of Real Food. I've done a similar post, I have somewhat different criteria (more protein and fiber requirements). Check mine out here

Looking for a healthier Caesar salad dressing. Real Mom Nutrition posted a recipe I can't wait to try. I'll let you know what I think once we try it!
