It's Recipe Redux Time! This month's challenge was to create a Mocktail or Cocktail for all those May celebrations!
Grapefruit juice is an excellent source of vitamin C. Cardamon is benefical for GI health and has some anti-inflammatory properties.
Sparkling Cardamom Grapefruit Juice
- 1 "can" grapefruit juice concentrate
- 1 liter (33.8 fl oz) sparkling water
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
Combine honey and cardamom then add to juice concentrate. Mix in sparkling water. Serve immediately.
This recipe maintains some natural tartness of the grapefruit juice. Add additional honey if it's too tart for your preference. You can also use 3 cans of regular water in place of the sparkling water for a flat version that can be stored in the refrigerator.
**A word of caution: there are some medications that can interact with grapefruit/grapefruit juice so if you take any prescription check with your doctor or pharmacist before eating/drinking grapefruit.
Don't forget health happens at home,
