Life is ...

Life is ... a post about a crazy, beautiful life in process. Read now or pin for later. - Health Happens at Home

Life is ... crazy, beautiful, fun, busy, hard, exhausting, scary and lots more.

We've had a crazy 2 weeks. My husband and I took our first trip without kids since our "babymoon" back in 2009. We traveled to New York City. The trip was great and much needed for our marriage and to avoid my own mommy burnout. Coming back to reality this week was tough. My kids were clingy and defiant. I was exhausted. We still have no groceries in the house, which means were are eating out, a lot. We walked and walked and walked in NYC until I thought my lower back was going to burst into flames. (I am assuming diastatis recti was contributing to the low back pain.)  So I've only exercised once this week! And this is my first blog of the week. I usually have a least 2 by this point. My son graduated from kindergarten and my middle daughter had her first dance recital. So we've been crazy busy and Health Happens at Home has had to take the back seat this week. This post is just a few pictures from our life the past 2 weeks...

Unfortunately this is the best picture I captured. They took off the cap and gown before I got to see him after the ceremony. Talk about mom disappointment!

A fuzzy iphone photo doesn't do justice to my beautiful ballerina!

I share all this in hope to encourage you that life happens. With each new day we get the opportunity to make a little progress on our life and health journey. And some days we regress, that's okay too. Tomorrow is Sunday and I plan to start the week with fresh determination to continue on my own health journey. My goal is progress, not perfection.

My family would also love you prayers this week! My youngest child has a congenital heart defect and we are headed back to the cardiologist on Friday. I also am battling a recurrence of Mal de Debarquement Syndrome and would love for it to resolve quickly!

My girl with the heart defect. It really doesn't affect her right now. She's just soaking up some daddy love in this picture.
