What Time is It? It's Time for Dinner!

Get some meal ideas from out September Meal Plan. Read now or pin for later. - Health Happens at Home

For those of you that do not have young children, the title is a play on a segment of the Bubble Guppies. Bubble Guppies is a popular children's show on Nick, Jr. It happens to be my youngest child's favorite show, so we watch it a lot!

This post is about our family's dinner meal plan, including what we ended up eating in August and what I have planned for September. I like to plan dinner's for the whole month. I do the majority of my grocery shopping once a month to help us stay (at least close) to our grocery budget.

Life happens and  plans change. Here is a before and after of our August meal plan. The black marker was the plan. The blue marker are the days that changed (or sometimes I filled in what we ended up eating on a special occasion). The red are the family activities we ended up doing. Check my August post to see my goals here. We didn't do all I planned. My husband had a very, very busy month at work and was gone lot. Consequently,  I was pretty worn out by dinner time and just wanted to check out.  Hopefully, September will be a better month for my husband and we can do better about intentional family activity/ play time.

Date night was super fun this month. I wrote a blog post about it. Check it out here and see what we ate.

Here is what I have planned for September.

Family Play Activities I plan to try this month:

  • Bowling at home working on number recognition
  • Hyperdash game working on color recognition
  • Dance party
  • Ball rolling

What are you planning to eat this month? What about family play/exercise? If you would like some help getting started with Meal Planning, just contact me.
